ANNUAL FULL TUITION WAIVER OFFERED BY ASSICURAZIONI GENERALI S.p.A. DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF PROFESSOR ERMANNO PITACCO

MIB Trieste School of Management is honored to announce a competition for one Full Tuition Waiver, offered by Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. dedicated to the memory of professor Ermanno Pitacco, Academic Director of the Master in Insurance Management program, who has prematurely passed away.

The Full Tuition Waiver covers 100% of the tuition fees for the XXVIII edition of the Master in Insurance and Risk Management (full-time, from October 2026 to October 2027). In case of course abandonment or exclusion for any reason, no amount of the scholarship will be paid or reimbursed.

MIB Trieste School of Management was founded as a non-profit organization in Trieste in 1988 through the joint efforts of high -profile companies and the world of academia. The School organizes masters and postgraduate programs with a strong international focus and does research in the main areas of International Management.

The Master in Insurance & Risk Management is accredited at the national level by ASFOR and at the European level by EFMD and its target are future professionals, aspiring to develop their careers in Insurance, Finance, Risk Management and Consultancy at a global level. The master program is entirely taught in English. It aims at developing the participants’ managerial competencies and provides them with technical tools and working instruments immediately applicable on-the-job.

The Full Tuition Waiver is targeted at candidates coming from any country and holding any citizenship, and available to attend the MIRM program in residence (at the MIB premises in Trieste) and on a full-time basis. Attendance to the program is not compatible with other full-time occupations.

The beneficiary will possess the following mandatory requisites:
• Born in 1999 or later. A waiver could be considered for candidates who obtained a PhD.
• Academic degree (at least Bachelor-level), preferably in Economics, Finance, Business, Management, or STEM disciplines.
• Motivation for pursuing a career in the insurance industry (as ascertained in the selection interview)
• Good working knowledge of English (as demonstrated in the selection interview)
• Not being beneficiary of any other scholarship, sponsorship, award, or financial support for specialization courses by public or private organisations or companies unless the total combined value doesn’t exceed the total tuition fee

Besides the above requisites, candidates will be preferred based on their possession of the following:
• Significant professional/business experience
• Digital skills (data analysis, data management, data visualization, coding, etc.)
• Other significant international experience (not necessarily acquired in business activities)

Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. in collaboration with MIB Trieste School of Management will grant the Scholarship to the best candidate based on educational qualifications, professional skills and on the outcome of the selection process (written tests and motivational interview).

To apply for the Full Tuition Waiver, applicants must complete the on-line application form at www.mib.edu/mirm, and attach the following documents:
• A detailed CV and a motivational letter
• Degree certificate and academic transcript
• Contact details (name, role, e-mail address) of 2 reference persons (academics or professionals), for possible reference check
• Copy of passport or ID
• If available, a certificate demonstrating adequate knowledge of English such as TOEFL/IELTS/PTE, alternatively School’s tests will be taken;
• If available, a deductive reasoning test score such as GMAT or GRE, alternatively School’s tests will be taken.

The online application and required documents must be submitted by 28th June 2026. The selection process, to be held online, will be completed by 13th July 2026. The sponsor reserves the right to schedule additional interviews with the shortlisted candidates.
