The Ambassador Giuseppina Zarra met today the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova.
During the cordial meeting, the excellent bilateral relations between Italy and Bulgaria and the good cooperation within the EU and NATO were highlighted.
Current international issues were discussed and especially the challenges emerging from the situation in Afghanistan with particular reference to the refugee problem and future discussions at European level.
Vice President Iotova and Ambassador Zarra emphasized the opportunities for joint initiatives in support of women and to promote their role in all spheres of life.
At the end of the meeting, it was reconfirmed the common will to increase synergies in favor of an ever closer cooperation between the two countries.
