Dear compatriots, dear Bulgarian friends, dear colleagues, today we celebrate the Italian Republic, which was born on June 2nd, 1946. I would have liked to celebrate it together in this splendid venue, but the pandemic still does not allow us to do so. With this message we want to show you our closeness: we are here, and we will be here. We see the exit from the tunnel, and it is to this light that we must look with hope, courage, optimism and commitment. With the same spirit that, after the ruins of the Second World War, allowed Italy to rebuild itself on the democratic values of the Republic, to rebuild the country and to become one of the protagonists of international relations based on the values of Onus and Euro-Atlantic. Let us look ahead with confidence and without fear. Happy Republic Day!
