The Ambassador Giuseppina Zarra met the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dr. Tzvetan Simeonov for an in-depth work meeting on the prospects of commercial and industrial relations between Italy and Bulgaria, also in the broader framework of the European Union and the prospects of the Next Generation EU and the Green Deal in the respective Recovery and Resilience Plans.
Ambassador Zarra underlined how Italian companies can develop useful collaborations in the various priority sectors of the Bulgarian Recovery Plan, as well as to stimulate the growth of foreign direct investments in the country, in particular in sectors such as sustainable infrastructure and transport, digitalization, energy transition, and other strategic sectors for the recovery.
An active exchange of information was agreed in order to provide the requested assistance from Bulgarian and Italian companies.
