Notice: checks at internal Schengen borders temporarily reactivated

The Embassy of Italy in Sofia informs that on the occasion of next G7 summit in Taormina on May 26th and 27th, 2017, checks at internal Schengen borders at Italian land, air and sea entry points will be temporarily reactivated. The restoration of borders control, which is being activated in application of Art. 25 of the Schengen borders code, will be in force from 00.00h on May 10th 2017, until 24.00h on May 30th, 2017, and it may have an heavy impact on the travelling time of citizens from third countries who travel to Italy and enter into the Schengen area from another member state.
